Weddings at Snowmass Chapel
Congratulations on your engagement! We wish you many years of love and a fulfilling life together.
Thank you for your interest in the Chapel and Chapel grounds as the site for your very special day. Since Snowmass Village can be either a full-time home or a seasonal visiting place, it is a diverse group who takes an interest in the Chapel as a wedding facility. Here's some information for those who wish to be married at the Chapel as visitors, followed by information for those who are a committed part of our Chapel congregation.
For those visiting Snowmass Chapel, or locals without an ongoing commitment to the life of the Chapel, we gladly open our sanctuary to you, your minister and wedding team. Our Events Coordinator, Sue de Campo, will be happy to assist you in reserving the Chapel and planning for your special day. Please feel free to contact her at (970) 300-1223 or sue@snowmasschapel.org.
Our Chapel seats 210 people and provides a simple, lovely and sacred space for your ceremony – whether you choose an indoor or outdoor event. The grounds are beautiful, with established gardens, lovely lawns and views of the mountains. The parking lot accommodates one hundred vehicles. Please know that (although we can offer suggestions) obtaining your music, sound management, florist, linens, candles, videographer, ceremony planning and anything else you need, is your responsibility. We do require that a Chapel staff member be in attendance on your wedding day, to help with any building-related situations.
Fees involved for a Chapel wedding
- $2,000 use of the Sanctuary and grounds, due one month prior to the wedding
- $500 cleaning deposit, to be returned if the Sanctuary and grounds are left as they were found. This deposit also serves to reserve your chosen date and time.
- $1,500 if our minister, The Rev. Dr. Robert de Wetter, is asked to perform the ceremony
- $500 required for staff member to be present the day of the ceremony
The Chapel does not have a space suitable for receptions. Other than the sanctuary, our rooms are fairly small and specifically planned for unique Chapel functions (nursery, teen play area etc.). Local hotels and clubs are a frequent choice for wedding receptions.
For those in an ongoing and committed relationship with Snowmass Chapel, please contact Sue de Campo at (970) 300-1223 or sue@snowmasschapel.org to reserve a date, arrange for counseling and make practical arrangements.
