At the heart of our Christian tradition is love, compassion, and care. A long time ago, a church leader named John, wrote that “God is love”. He understood that God and love cannot be separated and that to truly love God means that we must genuinely love people. He also recognized that loving people is all about loving God.

While life is full of blessings, joy filled events, and special relationships for many, no one is spared from the heartache, let-downs, disappointments, struggles, and hardships that come from living. Although our sources of pain vary, each person at times needs the loving care, support, and strength that comes from those who have received God’s gift of compassion and mercy.

At Snowmass Chapel, we want to be a place where people who are hurting will find hope, comfort, strength, and courage. Through our caring ministries, we believe that Jesus Christ brings healing.

In this section, please find just some of the ways we believe our Lord is working in the lives of many who are experiencing brokenness, hurt, or pain. We are here for you, no matter what is happening in your life. The Chapel is not a place of judgment, but of peace, forgiveness, and where Jesus works powerfully and palpably.

We also are committed to not just caring for those in our community, but those who are far away in distant places and lands. Fundamental to who we are is to reach beyond our walls in ways that change lives using the gifts that our Lord has given us. William Temple once said, “the church is the only organization whose fundamental purpose is for those who are not part of it.” Through our outreach ministries, we strive to become such a place.
