Snowmass Chapel

Welcome to the Snowmass Chapel

Nestled in the Elk Mountains of the Central Rockies at the entrance to Snowmass Village is a very special place to share your faith in God.  It is unique in the sense that Snowmass Chapel meets the spiritual needs of a resort community that includes local residents, seasonal visitors, second homeowners and part-time residents.  The Chapel welcomes individuals from all over the world.  For some, Snowmass Chapel is their home church, but for many individuals it is their second-home church.

Our Chaplains provide the leadership for the nondenominational Protestant Service at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday.  An inspirational music program is the responsibility of a full-time music director.  A special message is shared with the young children in the Sanctuary every Sunday prior to the children’s regular Sunday School Program.  Communion is open to people of all denominations.  Fellowship with refreshments in the adjoining Community Center immediately following the service provides the opportunity to greet new and old friends.

The Chapel atmosphere is cordial, warm, friendly and welcoming.  The traditional service is casual and so is the attire.  Skiers are comfortable attending Chapel ready to head directly to the mountain after service and frequently finding themselves on the slopes at over 10,000 feet by 10:30 a.m.

The Chapel is located at the intersection of Brush Creek Road and Owl Creek Road (next to Anderson Ranch and the Firehouse).  A Snowmass Village and Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA) bus stop is at the corner providing for a short walk to the Chapel.  For those driving, there is a paved off-street parking lot just steps from the foot bridge over the bubbling Snowmass Creek leading to the Chapel’s front door.  Someone will be waiting to greet and assist you as you arrive.

Snowmass Chapel, surrounded by Snowmass Mountain, Pyramid Peak, The Cirque and Maroon Bells, reflects the beauty of God’s creations.  If you haven’t already done so, please join “The Friends of Snowmass Chapel” as a place to give thanks for our many blessings.
